My name is Ari Bejdo. I do not yet have formal work experience; however, I have been actively involved in volunteering and leadership roles, which have strongly contributed to my personal and professional development. I participated in a “VET TOURISM HOSPITALITY” Project , focused specifically in Receptionist training organized by the Regional Development Agency Berat (RDA) in collaboration with GIZ Albania, and the experience was far beyond my expectations.
From the beginning, the training focused on building the right mindset and professional attitude needed in a work environment. Through practical exercises, motivation techniques, and interactive sessions, I learned how important communication, organization, and responsibility are for a receptionist position.
Although I do not have previous work experience, my volunteering at the Red Cross, where I am also a trainer, has helped me develop strong skills in communication, teamwork, discipline, and working with diverse groups of people. In addition, my role as the President of a Youth Center has given me valuable experience in leadership, organization, coordination of activities, and problem-solving, all of which supported my learning during this training.
The course was very well organized and practical. I gained important digital and administrative skills, such as managing appointments and schedules, using email professionally, organizing documents digitally, and understanding how technology can support daily office work. These skills made me feel more confident and prepared for a receptionist role. On job training at the business as “Family Hotel” “Hani i Qerosit” or “Onufri Hotel” gave me other abilities to find job, in case.
To conclude, this training helped me understand that even without formal work experience, continuous learning, volunteering, and strong training programs can open doors to professional growth. I highly recommend RDA Berat’s trainings to other young people, as they are professionally delivered, supportive, and truly impactful for future career development.
