My name is Mikaela Pushi, I was born in Kefalonia, Greece and I am originally from Albania. I am currently a student.
A typical day for me consists of attending school, focusing on my studies, and improving my knowledge, especially in business-related subjects. After school, I spend time developing my ideas, following my interest in fashion, digitals skills and going to the gym to stay active and disciplined. My parents have been emigrated for a lot of years in Greece, and after years, they turned back home, at our beautiful town Berat. They desired to invest in their homebirth town and now days they manage a hotel and restaurant, as well.
Situation Before The Training Before participating in this training, I was a student while also involved in managing my parents businesses, including a hotel and a restaurant, but let’s say in modest way, connected something with social media page. Of course, this was when I had a little free time after my studies.
I decided to take part in this training because I wanted to strengthen my professional skills, gain new knowledge, and improve my abilities in business management, digital marketing and to see myself in the future to manage my parent’s businesses. I learned about this program through Fitore, one of other program leaders from Berat Municipality, whose guidance encouraged me to take part in this opportunity.
Training Experience
The training I attended focused on developing practical and professional skills in VET Tourism &Hospitality, in preparing professional waiters combining with green/digital competences, with an emphasis on business management and digital communication. The most valuable part of the experience for me was gaining practical knowledge and improving my confidence as waiter and not only, as it helped me to apply these skills more effectively in real business situations.Outlook and Impact This training has had a positive impact on me by strengthening my skills and increasing my confidence in business management and communication. It also supported me in developing a strong sense of responsibility and leadership while managing business-related tasks at a young age. Nowadays, I am responsible for handling and developing the social media page of parent’s business, which allowed me to gain experience in digital communication and marketing. I hope that during this summer to be a good waiter, as well
